This reptilian biped has a long, low head with toothy jaws, short but powerful arms, and a strong tail.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Megalosauruses are large carnivorous dinosaurs found primarily on islands and shorelines. They like warm tropical weather, and are capable of swimming from island to island in search of prey. Although they will hunt large dinosaurs, much of their food comes from the sea\u2014fish, turtles, marine reptiles and mammals and various flotsam washed up on the beach. They are skilled beachcombers, and a megalosaurus can attack submerged prey from the surface with relative ease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
